App in development

Dakiya for Shopify

Dakiya by Munshi Ji is being developed to help Shopify merchants connect their online stores with WhatsApp messaging through the Dakiya API.

The goal is to make store communication easier while keeping the messaging infrastructure and integration layer separate from the Shopify store.

Development status: This page describes the intended product direction. Features, installation steps and availability will be confirmed as the Shopify app is developed and tested.

What to Expect

WhatsApp Connectivity

A connection between the Shopify app and the Dakiya messaging platform.

Order Communication

Support for useful order-related messaging workflows, subject to the features included in the released app.

Central Messaging API

Use Dakiya as the messaging layer rather than building a separate WhatsApp backend for every integration.

Future Improvements

The integration can evolve as more messaging capabilities are implemented and validated.

How It Works

  1. Shopify store: Your store manages products, checkout and orders.
  2. Dakiya app: The Shopify integration connects supported store events to the messaging workflow.
  3. Dakiya API: The API processes supported messaging requests using the configured connection and credentials.
  4. WhatsApp: Messages are sent through the WhatsApp provider configured for your Dakiya account.

The exact setup and supported message types will depend on the released implementation.

Requirements

  • An active Shopify store.
  • A Dakiya account with access to the required API features.
  • A configured WhatsApp connection supported by Dakiya.
  • Any app permissions and credentials required by the final setup.

Access requirements and pricing will be published when the app's release details are finalized.

Getting Started

The intended onboarding process will be documented before the app is released. The final steps may include the following:

  1. Install the app using its official installation link.
  2. Complete the requested Shopify authorization.
  3. Configure the Dakiya connection if required.
  4. Test the supported messaging workflow.
Not available yet: The installation link and final configuration instructions will be added after they are ready. Do not enter API credentials into unofficial forms or links.

Order and Store Notifications

Shopify stores can benefit from timely communication about order activity. The planned integration is intended to support relevant WhatsApp workflows where they are implemented and configured.

Supported events, recipient options, templates, delivery reporting and automation controls will be documented against the actual released features. No specific notification is guaranteed until it has been implemented and tested.

Security and Credentials

  • Install the app only from an official, trusted source.
  • Keep API keys and access tokens private.
  • Never publish credentials in storefront code or public repositories.
  • Grant only the permissions the app actually needs.
  • Follow the final app's documented connection and credential-management process.

The final release documentation will explain how credentials are stored, used and managed.
